3 Tips For Color-Blocking Decor

As we’re finishing up the spring decor in the store, I’ve really fallen in love with color-blocking our new collection! Sometimes I think we’re afraid of pairing different shades of one color together, but their differences actually make a beautiful statement when paired together! Here’s some of my best tips for styling them well.

Tip 1. Choose Your Color Wisely

Start off with one color for a room that will coordinate with your home (paint color, flooring, etc.). Then, don’t be afraid to choose bold varieties of your chosen color! This idea is all about being bold!

Tip 2. Use Patterns

Choose a couple patterned items with a variety of shades of your color, like a pillow or blanket. This will make your solid colored appear to blend together better!

Tip 3. Bold = Focal Point

Place your most bold and bright items in the room’s focal points (over a mantle or dining table, on the main sofa and in a table centerpiece).
