I don’t know about you, but I’m SO excited to gather friends and family together, enjoy each other’s company and celebrate upcoming occasions. One of my most favorite things to do when gathering around the table is to decorate it. Here are some suggestions on how to set a table for your next upcoming event.
While parties don’t necessarily need to have a theme to be successful, it makes things easier to plan and execute. Think outside the box, stay within a color scheme, or go with your current favorite trend. Did you spy an item at our store that you’d love for your upcoming family occasion? Take it and run! (Not literally, don’t do that.) That item can work as the “umbrella” of your theme. Look at it’s colors, its style, and overall feeling and work on building a theme around that specific item.
You know us, we love all things that grow! Flowers are the perfect way to pull in a color scheme or tie in a theme. You can go minimal with single stems centered on each place setting, or go big with an eye-catching centerpiece. Need help with floral design? See our staff to get a custom arrangement made just for your event. We’d LOVE to help you throw a big bash!
For me, I like to stay with a subtle, light-colored tablecloth to warm a setting and set the stage. Top it with a fun table runner to coordinate with your overall theme or color scheme and your canvas is set!
This is where you can really start to think outside the box. Whether you’re throwing a formal event or a casual get together, place settings are the perfect place to really take your theme and run. 2018 is all about the personalization; get creative with place setting markers. For instance, mini chalkboards, handwritten notes, or mini bouquets of fresh blooms on each place setting for your guests to take home are great ways to create an inviting atmosphere at your table. The possibilities are endless!
Always look for little ways to take things to the next level of design. Are you throwing a bunny-themed baby shower this spring? We have the most darling cabbage leaf placemats that will work perfectly. Or, pick up some of our carrot garland to drape on the back of your chairs.
20 years ago, this dream started out as a road-side stand at this same location. A lot has changed since then. Take a look at how we’ve grown.
